Sharing is Caring

Diane Rowsell has been part of the York Scrubs journey from the very beginning. She has been with us every step of the way making scrubs, face coverings, laundry bags and now with Christmas stockings.

Diane contacted us to say….

I’m wanting to make some face coverings for our community food and goods bank, which we are in the process of setting up, and would love some peltek in order to make face coverings that provide that extra protection.

We were delighted to be able to help, not only supply everything that was needed but also pull together some of our incredible volunteers to help her with the task at hand, many hands make light work as they say. So Diane took on the role of project co-ordinator and did a great job of preparing all the bundles for the seamstresses

The Collective Sharehouse is a give and take as you feel pop-up initiative. We're operating at the Scarcroft Learning Centre on Moss street, with the support of The York Foodbank Trussell Trust, some of the Bishy Road Traders, and Scarcroft School Families.

They sent a letter to our volunteers thanking them for their donation and support (click here)

If you would like to make a donation you can deliver to Scarcroft Learning Centre or deliver at participating shops on Bishopthorpe Road.
