Threaded with Love

We have been very lucky to have received fantastic support from Lewis & Irene, a fabric company based in England, suppling us with 200 stocking panels to spread some joy this Christmas across our community.

Jane Johnson was channelling her inner Mrs Clause, and set on the task of preparing all the bundles for our sewing elves, as well as making up quite a few of them herself!

Our fabulous team of elves (aka seamstresses); Pam Cox, Pam Mullen, Diane Rowsell and Catherine Sotheran have stitched all the stockings with their love and care.

These special handmade stockings have been making their way to various groups across the city include the special care baby unit, women’s refuge, children’s ward and The Collective Sharehouse.

David Grice, part of the driving squad has been appointed ‘Logistics Laureate and Scrubs Sonneter’ and put together this beautiful poem for us to include in the stockings. With help from Annina Diston, Nutkin Avenue and Inc Dot Printing we’ve put together some Christmassy little cards to include with the stockings
