With a little help from our friends
The North Yorkshire Scrubs team started on the 10th April following a plea from the Friarage Hospital in Northallerton for scrubs, when they had completed their order for the hospital they did an amazing job helping York Scrubs with sourcing fabric and completing orders…
Co-ordinator, Sarah Pym recruited over 200 volunteers who were dispersed across North Yorkshire, adding challenges to their trust logistics team.
‘We fundraised, supplies and manufactured almost 1500 sets of scrubs to hospitals in Northallerton, Harrogate, York and Leeds as well as mental health teams, GP surgeries, dentists and community nurses.
It’s a fabulous example of community spirit, especially considering the vast distances involves and thanks goes to everyone for their unstinting efforts.
A special message from Sarah Pym, North Yorkshire Co-ordinator…
Thanks for all your amazing efforts, you’re an absolutely wonderful team of talented and hardworking volunteers and donors. Thanks for all you have done and continue to do.
I’d really like to thank EVERYONE again for their amazing contributions as: co-ordinators, makers, drivers, cutters, fundraisers, packers, tea makers, suppliers and any other contributions which have made all of North Yorkshire so proud.
I look forward to meeting you all, and I’m so proud of what we’ve achieved together, once again thank you ALL so very much
